This week we go across the country to taste the traditions and innovations of Vermont.

Claudia Clark started her business Moosewood Hollow after migrating to the Green Mountain State from the Sun Belt. She introduces us to the inspired flavors of her infused maple syrups Sweet Heat, Sweet Chai, Sweet Lavender, and more and offers her recipe for Lavender Marscapone Topping for berries, cake and ice cream cream.

Novelist Thomas Christopher Greene lives, cooks, and eats in Vermont and writes Vermont food into his fictional worlds. I'll Never Be Long Gone : A Novel, coming out in the US in October, focuses on life and love in a local bistro. In talking about the novel, he offers tastes of Vermont foods in his book and kitchen from wild mushrooms and the perfectly roasted chicken to fresh fiddleheads and homemade Chinese food.
