PUMPKINS: Glenn Drowns, owner of Sandhill Preservation Center for heirloom seeds and poultry, gives us a peek into his 700 varieties of squash and pumpkins. We learn about the best varieties for cooking and how to get your friends and family interested in this great autumn ingredient.

CRANBERRIES: Lorry Erickson, Director of the Cranberry Discover Center in Warrens, Wisconsin, gives us a primer on cranberry culture and the history of cranberries in Wisconsin, introduces us to 6 flavors of cranberry ice cream, and shares a recipe for Cranberry & Cream Muffins.

APPLES: Charles Martell is the creator of the Stinking Bishop Cheese of Wallace and Gromit fame as well as a man dedicated to preserving heirloom apples. On his farm in Dymock, Gloucestershire in England, he has a collection of 99 varieties from his home county. He introduces us to some of the more intriguingly named ones, talks about the Mother Tree Project, and reveals his plans for getting commercial interest in these great autumn fruits.
