Glögg is a Swedish drink for a cold winter evening.
2-3 sticks of whole cinnamon
2-3 pieces of dried Seville orange peel
2-3 pieces of dried ginger (not ground)
Some 10 whole caradomom seeds
Some 10 whole cloves
5 -5 dl of fresh water
Sugar
1 bottle of red wine, (for a non-alcoholic alternative use a similar amount of black currant or grape juice)
Heat the spices and water to a boil and let it boil slowly under the lid for about 30 min. Let it cool over night and sive/filter out the spices. Add the wine (or jucie) to the filtered water and add sugar (ca 1 dl) and heat it up but do not let it boil. Serve the glögg hot with gingerbread !
Enjoy and cheers!
