Eat Feed FAQ

What is a podcast?

A podcast is like a radio show you download from the internet and listen to where and when you want. The real glory of podcasting is that you can subscribe to your favorite shows and each time a new episode is released, you will automatically receive it. All Eat Feed podcasts are free, although donations are gratefully received.

About Eat Feed

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THE NAME 'EAT FEED'? We were looking for a name that encompassed many different aspects of food rather than just 'gourmet,' 'budget,' etc. Eating is universal. At the same time, we wanted to create a name that recognized the particular medium in which we work, the podcast delivered as a 'feed.'

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO CREATE THE EAT FEED NETWORK? This is a question we answer throughout our site and in every show and in everything we do every day. In a nutshell, Anne Bramley, the host, wanted to combine her many different experiences with food - scholarly and culinary - and apply them to a new project that appealed to smart eaters who want to learn and think as well as shop, eat, and entertain. Podcasting provided the perfect way to that do that by taking a topic that appeals to so many and bringing it to a new medium.

WHEN WAS THE FIRST EAT FEED PODCAST RELEASED? January 5, 2005: At Shakespeare's Table. But our best stuff is yet to come, so keep listening.

WHO CREATES EAT FEED? Find out more about the people behind the scenes.

HOW MANY LISTENERS DO YOU HAVE? The answer to this question continually changes. If you'd like to know our exact listenership at any give time, just email us to get the most up-to-date figures and let us know why you're interested.

HOW CAN I CONTACT YOU? Visit our Contact page.

Sponsorship

DO YOU ACCEPT ADVERTISING ON THE PODCASTS? We offer an alternative to advertising in traditional media that saturates our daily life to such a degree that customers hardly notice it. Plus, we offer a chance to reach an audience that is interested in new ideas and products. If you're interested in our unique take on show sponsorship, please contact Mia Littlejohn, Eat Feed's Director of Marketing to receive our sponsorship kit.

DO YOU WORK WITH COMPANIES IN OTHER WAYS BESIDES SHOW SPONSORSHIP? We are always interested in talking with companies whose approach to food lines up with our own. If you have ideas, contact Mia Littlejohn, Eat Feed's Director of Marketing and tell her a little about yourself and why you think Eat Feed listeners would be interested. Also, consider our Fueling Eat Feed program.
